Sophia TenHuisen
Sophia TenHuisen is a PhD student interested in ultrafast optical methods as a tool for studying out-of-equilibrium properties of quantum materials. She received her bachelor’s degree in physics from Smith College in 2018, where her thesis earned highest honors. She then spent a year as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, before coming to Harvard to pursue her PhD. Outside of the lab, Sophia enjoys playing violin in the Harvard graduate student orchestra and solving crossword puzzles.
