Pedro De Oliveira
Graduate Student
NSF GRFP Fellow
Pedro is a PhD student in Quantum Science and Engineering and NSF GRFP fellow interested in using ultrafast light pulses to control quantum materials and exploring out-of-equilibrium phases in strongly correlated electron systems. He earned his BA in Physics from Cornell University in 2024. During his undergraduate studies, Pedro contributed to a wide range of scientific projects, including work on radio-frequency SQUIDs, ion migration in halide perovskites, graphene superlattices, and cavity polaritons. Physics aside, Pedro is an avid coffee enthusiast and co-chairs the Harvard Quantum Initiative Espresso Committee. He also enjoys cooking and rock climbing.
