Flavio is an experimental physicist with expertise in condensed matter physics and ultrafast spectroscopy. His research focuses on strongly correlated quantum phenomena using multiple techniques, ranging from terahertz and optical spectroscopies to time-resolved x-ray scattering. He has extensive experience in nonlinear optics, ultrafast high-peak-power laser systems, generation and coherent detection of phase-stable, extremely intense terahertz and mid-infrared pulses. His research interests are primarily in the fields of quantum phase transitions, ultrafast phenomena in many-body systems, and related areas in which the nonlinear light-matter interaction is under investigation for future technological applications.
