Aulden Jones is a Physics PhD student and NSF GRFP fellow specializing in resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) and ultrafast optical techniques to study strongly correlated quantum materials. He completed his undergraduate degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he focused on quantum magnetism under the supervision of Prof. Martin Mourigal, Dr. Michael Lilly, and Dr. Andrew Mounce. In the Mitrano Lab, Aulden will further investigate the novel properties of quantum materials using advanced spectroscopic methods. In his free time, he enjoys visiting art museums and riding his bike around the city.
